Blonde Moment

Today it took me more than three hours to get from Bakersfield to Fresno.

Part of it was bad weather and bad traffic, and the other part was sheer blondeness.

My car has kinda been giving me problems lately and I know I need a new battery. I stopped in Tulare for a drink. When I went back out to my car it wouldn’t start. It wasn’t doing anything so I called AAA for a jump. They only took about 30 minutes to get there and the car still wouldn’t turn over. It was odd. The tow truck driver told me to try it again and I looked down and noticed that the car was in drive.

My car has this weird quirk that will let me stop it and remove the keys while it is in drive. I hadn’t put it in park!! I put the car into park and it started right up!! I am sure that tow truck guy was laughing at me as he drove away.

There were then 2 accidents on the road in-between Tulare and Fresno. Finally when I got into Fresno it was more than three hours later than when I had left Bakersfield.

That is my blonde moment of the year.

It has been a little while since my last post. How many times do we start our posts with that?

Things are going really well. I am still deciding where to go next year. I have officially been accapted to Staff!! A little more has been added for me to consider with my dicision. Well, actually I had made my decision and was asked to re-consider to stay on Staffed Campus and consider what that would mean in the long run as far as leadership. It is hard to explain on here. I wouldn't know what campus I was going to until late June or July if I chose staffed campus.

I haven't had a whole lot of time to process this. I talked with Alisha while at our staff retreat this last weekend. Please join me in praying for this decision.

We also threw a meeting for the Fresno State staff last Thursday. It was a great time to honor the many years of service.

That is mostly what is going on with me. We have two more weeks on campus at Fresno State. That is really sad to write. We are working on the transoition process with the students and with ourselves.
