Something that makes me go grrrrrrrr……

Today it is the wrong image that Christians sometimes get (and give). We are to be like Christ, but we are human, so sometimes we aren’t. Today from two different people I got that Christians sometimes are so unlike Christ that they turn people away, so far away that they are actually repulsed by us. It hurts me inside so much that I want to cry. It isn't fair that they have been hurt like this by us humans, and it is God who gets the bad rap.

I don’t ever want to be that Christian. I am sure that there are things that I have done that have. I am on a journey of becoming more like Christ and am working daily to be the person He wants me to be. I wish I could apologize to every person who has ever been hurt by someone and it has effect their image of Christ. No matter what we do, Christ still came to this earth to give us eternal life. There is nothing we can do to change that. Christ is knocking on the door of everyone's heart and all we have to do is let Him in.

I guess all we can do is stick to what we believe. To do our best to represent Christ in a way that would give Him all the glory, and never take it for our selves. We can pray that these hurts are taken away by the true love of Christ. We need to be the salt of the earth, and let the light of Christ shine.

Ok, so it is time for me to update. Not a whole lot has been going on with me…well that is not completely true I did get to go to the wedding of Alisha and DJ. That was a great time.

Mostly what I have been working on is support. I feel like I don’t do enough, which I am sure is the case. People just don’t seem to want to meet up with me. I need to cast vision of what I do, but no one wants me to cast my vision to the, It gets frustration. I could use some more contacts. That being said I am getting a lot closer.

I found out when I am at 90% I can be on campus part-time. I am only $200 a month from being at 90%. That is great news. The last 10% isn’t easy to get though. I think that the stress of all this is taking a toll on me. I have been more tired than normal.

This weekend I should be attending church in Bakersfield. If I am at 90% the following weekend I will be going with students to the fall retreat. I know it would make the other intern feel a lot better if I were there.

I will keep you updated and if anyone has any contacts they want to pass along you can email them to me ;)
