The Way I Feel
Do you ever feel like there are so many things in life tugging for the attention in your life that you don’t always have time for what is most important? That is how I often feel. More times than not I let my life take charge, and put off what is really important. I feel like Martha. Jesus just wants me to sit at his feet and listen to Him. But I am so preoccupied with all the details of the preparations of His visit that I miss out on why He is there. Then I get mad and have the nerve to question Jesus. Don’t you care…? Its like I am trying to earn something that has been given to me. I need to be more like Mary and just sit at Jesus’ feet. Instead, I get worried and upset about things. I need to be Mary and not Martha. I heard this song and it touched my heart. I feel pulled and need to always get my strength from the Lord.
12 Stones- The Way I Feel
Lately I've been wandering
Off the narrow path
You’ve given me so many things that I've never had
And all in all I know it's you that always pulls me through
If you reach deep inside you’ll see my heart is true
‘Cause I hate the way I feel tonight
And I know I need you in my life
Yes I hate the way I feel inside
And I promise to make the sacrifice
The world I know is pulling me
More and more each day
I feel like the odd man out as I begin to pray
Spiteful eyes are watching me
With everything I do
In the midst of darkness Lord
My spirit calls for you
(You know sometimes deep inside)
I feel like this

Hanging with Friends
It is really nice to just hang out with friends and not have to worry about anything else. Some of my friends have taken up crocheting. I, myself, refuse to take it up, but they seem to really enjoy it. So we have some wild crocheting parties. Let me tell you, they can get wild. Okay, not really, but it is a time when we just hang out and talk and stuff. Not something we get to do often. Something nice about this group is that they are all older and I feel like I can connect with them a lot better than some of the girls in my sorority. Even though I am still a student, I feel like I belong with this group. It’s nice. Since they have all graduated we don't talk about school much, and it is a bit of an escape from that. One day it will be me.

Well, its official school has started. I have attended two full days of classes and survived mostly unscathed.
I think part of why I had (have) the back to school blues is that I am entering my last year of college. I have extended college about as long as I possibly can. When its over I am going to have to enter into a new period in my life. I have become comfortable with college. It took me a couple years, but I have learned how to do it well. Whatever is next will be different, and that is scary. Following what the Lord has planned for me may take to places that are different that I am use to. I will have to leave my comfort zone. Pray that the Lord give me the courage to go where He sends me. To not let me get in the way of His plans. Being an adult is not all it is cracked up to be.

The I don't want school to start on Monday blues.
Yep, I've got the blues. Or maybe just denial that school is actually starting on Monday. With school starting it means that I have a lot to do. It means I have to take responsibility for all the things that I have committed to this semester, and I don't want to.
So what did I do all day? I took care of a few things, but for the most part I laid on the couch and did nothing. This is something I haven't been able to do in a while, but it didn't help me get things done. Luckily I don't think I have too much to do.
Tomorrow I get to lead a long meeting with my sorority. I have been having weird feelings towards the group. A lot of the girls have become really lazy and it really gets to me. I have been trying just to do my part and serve the Lord in the position He has out me in. I am already praying about what capacity I want to serve ADX next semester.
I got all four rolls of film back from y cruise. My favorite ones are when we are swimming with the dolphins. That was so cool. Can I just forget about all that I have to do and live on a cruise ship for the rest of my life? Probably not. So I will get myself in the mindset of the responsible person that I am.
Ok, that’s enough from me for now.

My trip to Mexico.
Some of you may know that I went on a week long cruise to Mexico. What a wonderful vacation. I haven't really been on a vacation and I think this one came at the perfect time. I was able to go with two good friends. We had a blast. Here are the highlights of my trip:
-Swimming with dolphins- I got to get in a pool with dolphins. There were 2 that we got to spend the most time with, but there were a total of 7. I got to be belly to belly with one and it pulled my across the pool. It was so awesome. This all happened in Puerto Vallarta.
-In Mazatlan I got to see an authentic show by Indians. They climbed an 80 foot pole and did a ceremonial dance on it before being slowly lowered down by ropes. It was really awesome. We then did some shopping and got to enjoy some time at a resort in fron of a pool. Then I got to go hit the warm water and dodge some waves. It was great.
-Our last stop was Cabo San Lucas. Here our day started at 7am where we had to take tenders from the ship to the port. From the tender we sailed about 30 minutes to a beautiful cove where we went snorkeling. The dangerous part was that there were lots of tiny jellyfish. I wouldn't say I got stung badly, but I was definitely gotten by a few small ones and it was somewhat uncomfortable, but I didn't let it bother me. I had never been snorkeling before. After our time in the water we sailed back and were serve "beverages" I'm not accustom to drinking at 10 am! Don't worry, it was in moderation. Tequila Sunrises are yummy (and they have orange juice in them, so the timing worked)
-The last highlight would have to being doing a quiet time on an empty deck with the moon glaring down on me, and the ocean off to the side. It is amazing how good old favorites can restore your soul! God is Good.. (ALL THE TIME...ALL THE TIME...GOD ROCKS)
If you are looking for a vacation I would recommend a cruise. I have so many stories I can share. Ask me some time, and be prepared next time you see me for some pictures.
