Wow, so much has gone on in such a short amount of time. I just got back from UK New Staff Induction in England. It was really good. We had intense Bible Studies on John and met a whole lot of great British new staff members. It really was great. I played a lot of football and even scored a goal.

I drove!! Woo hoo, I had only been here for like 4 days and I drove. We decided the best way to get to this I was very nervous about driving here. Nothing bad happened. I drove on the correct side of the read, even though it seemed weird. I did drive through a town twice, once going one way and another time the other way. Round abouts are really weird. Instead of having stop signs they have round abouts and they have several exits off them. That is why I went through the town twice, but the second time I got the right exit. I drove through a really bad down pour, that was interesting. I have also driven in 2 countries here, Scotland and England.

Our team in getting a long reall well. This is going to be an amazing year. Tomorrow we have a fairly free day and then I we move into our flat on tuesday and then I head off to Germany for our STINT briefing. I should be having a meeting on Tuesday sometime with our campus director to go over leadership things and how we will work together as the leaders of the team.

Trying to think of what else has gone one....here are some phrases

pants are not pants, they are actually underwear so I need to start calling them trousers. I have gotten some funny looks when I say pants.

A sweater is a jumper
A truck is a laurie

There are so many more.

My support in now up to 88%. I stayed up one night until 4 am working on support. With the 8 hour time difference that is the best time to call the states. That wasn't the greatest thing to do for the jet lag though. I think that is getting better.

Tomorrow I am going to try and go exploring in the city by myself. That is how to find my way around. I am not sure if I mentioned the open top bus tour we took of the city. It was quite lovley. The rain held off for most of the time.

Today we took pictures on the side of the road, it was fun.

The 6 hour drive we took from Scotland to England was so pretty. It really gave a good idea of what the UK is like. There are so many more sheep than there are people. It is so nice here. The weather does change at the drop of the hat though.
