After 3 long flights we arrived safely in Edinburgh. Even better, out luggae made it with us!! That rocked. We are staying with friends until we can move into our flat on August 31st. That will be exciting.
We didn't sleep until normal sleep time the day we arrived, that was hard as we arrived by 9 am. I didn't even take a nap. I slept so well.
How things are here. It is COLD!! People wear shorts and a tank top when it is 18 (not degrees). The first day it was a very nice day. They found it odd that I was wearing a warm jumper (sweater) that day.
Today it wasn't as nice. It rained. I still wore flip flops. It was still cold, who normally sees their breath in August?? We had a good day sighseeing. We took a bus tour and saw all three cities, the old, the new and the underground.
It is a great city! So much to see. So much history between it all!!
There is so much I want to write, but when I sit down to write I can't remember it all.
We will be in our flat by the 1st and should have our own internet there and I will be back on IM from time to time and be writing on my blog more frrequently.
Some of you may not believe this, but I haven't had a phone sine we left Chicago. No real signs of withdrawls. I think I will make it.
