I went to the coast with some cool peeps this last weekend. It was such a blast, exactly what I needed. The drive over on Saturday was nice. We got there around 1:00 and met up with MEEP, LB, and MC (don't you love all the initials!! :) We got to spend several hours out on the beach. Randomly I ran into a few friends from Fresburg. That was fun. K and I hit the waves, twice. Wow, the water was really cold. I was spoiled by living in Newport for a summer where the water is warmer. I love diving under the waves and letting them crash over me. So much fun.
We all then decided to go out to dinner. McClintock's was yummy, but everyone around me decided I needed another shower or something. The waiter was not very good at the special pouring of the water and I think I ended up with the whole pitcher on me. Very funny, good think I have scense of humor.
We then drove to Pacific Grove. Three of us slept in a double bed. I am a light sleeper and was between a snorer and someone who just makes noise when they sleep (I think we all do). It seemed like I didn't sleep at all that night. When we were all up in the morning K and I headed back to Fresno by taking the scenic route which included 17 mile drive. Very pretty!! K said I was REALLY grumpy so I slept in the car. I had to write 3 papers when I got back, so I needed the sleep.
It was a very fun time, I wish I could live at the beach. I am pretty sure I have a day in July when I am going to Newport and hitting the beach. We never seem to hit the beach when we are down there. I am going to insist that we do!! Woo hooo
