I had such an amazing weekend. There is so much to tell. The convention went so well. There was a very good turnout, probably the largest we have ever had. Everything came together so well. Our theme of individually Unique Together Complete was great for the sorority and all the chapters from everywhere.
I had so much fun hanging out with so many different people. New friends, old friends. Having all the chapters together really shows what the sorority is about. We are much more than just the Theta chapter in Fresno. We have sisters all across the USA.
This weekend we threw a Toga party on Friday night (lots of fun!!) Saturday was the convention for about 135 people. Saturday night about 20 of us went out to dinner and then even more joined us just to hang out. I had four women stay with me in my apartment. I got to run someone to the airport at 4 am on Sunday, then back to bed for a bit before Yosemite. I have had the pleasure of getting to know some of the Alabama girls. They are so awesome. They hadn't got to see much of California before so we took them to Yosemite for the day. There we got to play in the SNOW, see deer and a coyote and get wet in the falls. It is so pretty there. I have lots of pictures, as me to see them sometime.
Monday was lots of fun also. We drove the girls to the airport in San Jose. Left there at 9:30 am. Very early morning. Then made it back to Fresno for work and classes at 1. So sad to see them gone and the weekend be over.
This being my last convention is sad. I don't know where I will be when I get back from Scotland. There is so much going through my mind. Change is always hard and leaving things behind......
Now I have so much on my plate and I just need sleep and some me time. Not sure when that is going to happen.
I did get a good email on Friday before the marathon of a weekend started. I have been atleast, initially placed in Edinburgh Scotland for next year!! YEAH
